Mirrored in the Earth Exhibition

2014

LOCATION

Gosford Regional Gallery

Mirrored in the Earth is a deeply personal exploration of my connection to the Australian landscape. Through a combination of monotype prints and acrylic paintings on canvas, I’ve tried to capture not just what I see in the land, but what I feel – its rhythms, textures, and quiet power.

My acrylic works, like Mountains, Mist, and Rolling Hills, reflect moments of stillness and expansiveness – the way light shifts across a valley, or how clouds soften a horizon. These pieces are grounded in place, yet open to emotion and memory. The monotypes offered me another way to interpret the natural world – more abstract and instinctive. Works like Antarctic Spring and Rising Waters are about movement and change, the unseen forces that shape the land and, often, our inner selves.

Together, these works mirror not only the earth beneath our feet but the emotional terrain we walk within. This exhibition is my response to the quiet conversation between land and self – and an invitation for you to listen in.
