My C

A little about my art practice and history

My art practice is centred around making monotype prints. Monotypes are one off, unique, works on paper. I use a gelatin plate and gouache to achieve a very layered textured effect. I mainly use the Australian landscape as my inspiration and interpret it, not through photographs, but through my intuition.  After living in the rural area of Dungog for the past 5 years I have absorbed the key elements of the landscape.  My acrylic paintings reflect this emotional attachment.
